Christ Lutheran Church Loebau was founded by a group of German settlers, called the Wends in 1892. Since then it has flourished in this little corner of Texas. Loebau Church, as it is often called has become known for good traditional worship, good people and great food. The church prides itself on being a family oriented church, but we also have people of all ages and many programs suited for everyone. We have our Sunday morning worship at 9 a.m. and during Lent and Advent we offer 6:30 p.m. services every Wednesday. We hope to see you soon.

“The LCMS was established in 1847 by Saxon and other German immigrants seeking the freedom to practice and follow confessional Lutheranism. Initial members included 12 pastors representing 14 congregations from Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, New York, Ohio and Wisconsin.”
“The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod (LCMS) is a denomination that confesses the historic, orthodox Christian faith, a faith built on “the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone” (Eph. 2:20). The LCMS, headquartered in St. Louis, Mo., is mission-oriented and Bible based. LCMS doctrine reflects the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther, as summarized in The Book of Concord: The Confessions of the Evangelical Lutheran Church.”
“Today, the LCMS has more than 2.3 million baptized members in more than 6,100 congregations and more than 9,000 pastors. Two seminaries and 10 colleges and universities operate under the auspices of the LCMS, and its congregations operate the largest Protestant parochial school system in America.”
